Kayaks are becoming a more popular way to visit the waters in Saskatchewan and beyond, and Eb’s has been supporting this growing activity from the outset. We’re excited about kayaking, and we’ll get you geared up so you can share our excitement

Why kayak ? Compared to canoes, a sea kayak can be a much easier craft for the beginning user to handle. The lower center of gravity of the kayaker makes the boat inherently more stable. The beginning paddler will have little trouble keeping the boat going in a straight line with the double bladed paddle. Shorter recreational kayaks popular with the beginning paddler are very easy to turn, and longer boats can be directed with a rudder system. Sounds great, right !

Eb’s carries a large selection of sea kayaks suitable for the novice, intermediate, or more advanced paddler. Sailing

Sailing in Saskatchewan - Why not ? We have plenty of wind and many choice lakes to sail on. Eb's passion for sailing led to the opening of Eb's Sail and Sport to supply the local sailing community. Now as Eb's Source for Adventure, we continue the tradition of service to the Saskatchewan sailing community with our resident sailing expert James Briens. In addition to sailboats, we carry rigging and hardware for dinghys through to big boats, serving the needs of the recreational sailor and the competitive sailor alike.

So you’ve got your boat or bike or skis and you are wondering – How am I going to haul this around in my vehicle ? We’ve got the solution for you. We’ve been selling and installing the Thule and Yakima roof and hitch rack equipment and accessories for years now, and have broad experience with fitting racks to most vehicle models. From roof top boxes, to basic roof racks for sedans, vans, and SUV’s, to hitch racks for bikes and boat hauling accessories as well -  we'll set you up with the right equipment and get you on your way. Just give us your load hauling challenge, we'll provide the right solution .

Looking to rack your truck to haul a canoe, kayak, or your ladder and lumber ? There's at least 10 different options for trucks, from cab mount racks, bed mounted racks, hitch receiver stands, truck cap mounted racks, and heavy duty commercial grade systems from Thule Professional– we'll take the time to explain pros and cons of your options, and then get you racked up.

We now carry INNO Advanced Rack Systems. Some hard to fit vehicles may have an INNO rack solution.

Eb's has the clothing and footwear for your next adventure. Naturally, we specialize in clothing and footwear for the canoe, kayak, sailboat, cross country ski and snowshoe enthusiasts, but even if you aren’t involved with these activities, you will appreciate our high quality clothing and footwear.

Cross-Country Skis

Eb introduced Saskatoon to the sport of cross country skiing when he first opened the doors of the business. We are still the number one place to go when you are looking for cross country ski equipment, be it recreational, classic, skating, racing, or backcountry use. Our staff includes racers, coaches, and long time skiing enthusiasts, so we’ve got the experience the other stores don't. We'll select the right equipment for you, whether you are a novice or a racer. We also have the technology - we'll ensure your ski fit with our Camber Tester, to ensure you've got both kick and glide frin your skis. We carry a broad selection of skis from Salomon , Fischer, and Alpina, in either waxless or waxable bases, including skis for kids. And we have all the gear to complete the package, with boots, bindings, poles, waxes, mitts, gloves, and clothing.

Snowshoes

Does your winter adventure lead you off the set trail ? Whether you want to trek in deep snow through the forest, or stroll throught the snow along the city riverbank, snowshoes are the equipment for you.

Rediscover snowshoeing with the modern lightweight, compact designs of snowshoes which combine aluminum frames, synthetic decks, under deck cleating, and integrated binding systems for easy to use, maintenance free shoes from MSR, Faber and Atlas. If you are feeling like a traditionalist, we still carry wood and rawhide snowshoes from Faber. The traditional snowshoes tend to be quieter than the modern designs, and are available in larger footprints – important in our land of deep powdery snow.

Rentals and Service

Can't afford to buy - or just nor sure you know what you want ? Eb's rents cross country skis and snowshoes for the winter adventurer and canoes and kayaks for the summer adventurer. We recommend reservations since we can get booked up in the prime season. And if renting does help you decide on the equipment you want, apply up to a 2 day Eb's rental fee to the purchase of new equipment of the same type. For example - a ski package rental fee can be applied to ski package purchase.
