Cross-Country Skis
Eb introduced Saskatoon to the sport of cross country skiing when he first opened the doors of the business. We are still the number one place to go when you are looking for cross country ski equipment, be it recreational, classic, skating, racing, or backcountry use. Our staff includes racers, coaches, and long time skiing enthusiasts, so we’ve got the experience the other stores don't. We'll select the right equipment for you, whether you are a novice or a racer. We also have the technology - we'll ensure your ski fit with our Camber Tester, to ensure you've got both kick and glide frin your skis. We carry a broad selection of skis from Salomon , Fischer, and Alpina, in either waxless or waxable bases, including skis for kids. And we have all the gear to complete the package, with boots, bindings, poles, waxes, mitts, gloves, and clothing.
To those just getting into the sport, or those looking for an equipment upgrade, we sell complete packages including binding installation and hot wax at very competitive pricing. Check out our Featured Packages below. And for those who just want to try it out, we rent skis as well.
From Salomon we carry a selection of skis for recreational touring through to racing and back country, including skis for the budding junior skier. The classic models we carry include Elite 6 Grip and Classic, Vitane 6 Grip and Classic, Active 6 Classic, Elite 9 Classic, Equipe 8 Classic, Equipe 9 Classic, and Equipe 10 Classic. For the skate skier we carry Elite 8 Skate, Equipe 9 Skate, and Equipe 10 Skate. For the junior skier we have the Equipe Junior in sizes 146 to 166 cm. Salomon is also the supplier for SNS Pilot and SNS Profil bindings and boots.We stock Salomon boots for the recreational tourer, Pilot Combi boots for those who enjoy both techniques, and boots for the elite classic or skate racer.

From Alpina we carry a selection of skis and boots for the recreational classic enthusiast including the LXC200 in waxless or waxable, and the Tempest in waxless. Alpina is a supplier of NNN (New Nordic Norm) boots and Rotefella NNN bindings.

o complete your classic or skate skiing package, you will need poles. We carry poles from Exel and Swix covering the needs of the recreational skier through to the performance athlete.
Skis For Kids
Got kids ? Why not have them join you in your skiing adventure. Its a great way to get them outside in the winter. We’ve got gear for them too. Karhu KBoom’s are an inexpensive ski to start your 2-4 year old in skiing. These skis are equipped with bindings to fit on your child’s snowboot so no ski boot purchase is required. For the older child we move into a Ficher Tisa Step Waxless, Alpina Wave Waxless, both suitable for recreational touring use. For the budding junior racer we carry the Salomon Equipe Junior waxable ski.
If you want to give your child a head start on their skiing adventure, why not enroll them in the Jackrabbit program with the Saskatoon Nordic Ski Club. (The Nordic Ski Club offers courses for Mom's and Dad's as well)

Enhance your skiing experience with accessories ranging from wax, boot covers, ski packs, waxing benches, water holsters, and ski bags. If its cross country skiing related - we probably have it.
Wax is a crucial component of skiing, wax makes your skis grip and glide on the snow. Even waxless skis need application of a glide wax to achieve desired performance. Waxable skis are even more dependent on wax performance - if there is no grip, there can be little glide. Start achieving peak performance from your skis with our waxing products from Swix, Toko, Vauhti, and Start. Are you a little confused by the prospect of waxing your skis ? Come in and we will happily walk you through the various waxing options. Or stop by Saturday mornings for the more intensive waxing clinic from Kevin. With appropriate clothing for the activity, winter doesn't have to be a season to hide indoors. Keep yourself skiing comfortably longer with our clothing designed for skiers. Purchase skis, boots, bindings, poles and you get a hefty discount. We throw in binding installation and hot waxing for the package price. Our adult ski packages start at an amazingly low $274 and kids packages at $232. Thinking about buying used ? Unless you get all the equipment used you'll find our package pricing will put you in new equipment for just a few dollars more.

Salomon Backcountry Package: The XADV59 combines a wider base for better flotation, with steel edges for greater control - this ski is narrow enough for in trail use but is up to the challenge of breaking trail. If you value off trail performance equal to your on trail perfomance then the XADV59 package is ideal.

Child's Touring Package: A kids recreational touring ski suitable for diagonal stride (classic technique) in track and the occasional out of track use. The Fischer Tisa skis are softer cambered to be more forgiving of developping skills, and waxless bases allows your child to be more independent on their skis - you won't hear complaints about the wrong wax. The ST10 JR Thinsulate insulated boot will keep those young feet toasty.
